Kristina Gauer is a Designer and Illustrator from Northeastern Ohio. Having grown up next to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park instilled a passion and curiosity of the natural world, and so elements of nature continuously appear throughout her work. She works in a variety of digital/traditional mediums and is currently experimenting with acrylic ink and oil pastels.

In 2021, she graduated with an MFA from the Illustration program at MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) and has since taught at the Myers School of Art and Appalachian State University as an adjunct lecturer while maintaining a freelance practice.

Other passions include primate and environmental conservation. Check out her Long Lake Clean-up Initiative.
